Dark Sands Productions Announces Feature-length Film Production
We will be producing our first feature-length film. The producers are very hush-hush regarding the synopsis of the film, but have confirmed that this production will be a horror film. The movie's summary will be released within the next few months.
This production is currently in the pre-production stages. The script has been completed and is in the hands of the script editors.
Principal photography of the film is expected to begin in the late summer of 2012.
The film is expected to be released in early 2013. We will be attending film festivals and horror conventions throughout the year of 2013.
The bands David & Goliath and Kemman have both signed on to have their music featured in the film.
This film will most likely be a straight-to-DVD release but we will actively seek distribution in the summer/fall of 2012. We will continue to provide updates on the progress of this project throughout the next several months.
Some crew member positions have been filled, but there is still a need for: audio engineers, camera operator, lighting technicians and boom operators.

Veronica (Ronnie), who is 17 or 18 years of age, long hair, height is average, curvy build, wild child with a history of being promiscuous, dresses in a revealing way, harbors envy for Courtney's bright future. She feels trapped and destined to stay stuck in their hometown.
Asylum Escapee, who is in his mid/late-thirties, scruffy look, usually has a dirty look to him as if he has not showered in a long time. He is a mentally disturbed individual whose social skills are not well- developed. He was incarcerated for torturing young girls.
Motel manager, who is in his late-thirties/early-forties, is a country fellow who lives in a back room of the motel he manages, a good-natured individual, average height or taller with thinning hair, wears glasses.

Courtney, who is 17 or 18 years of age, average height, hair is shoulder- length or longer, high school graduate who was accepted into a good college. While she is on the right track, she is not spoiled or stuck up.
Nate, who is 17 or 18 years of age, average to tall height, short hair, lean build, has all-American good looks and on his way to a good college. For a long time, he has had a crush on Courtney.
Dylan, who is 18 or 19, tall, ruggedly good-looking with a lean build, short or long hair. He is from the wrong side of the tracks but he tries to make the best of his situation. He is comedic with a dry sense of humor. His girlfriend is Veronica (Ronnie). He is older than his friends because he was held back a year in high school.
